East Central Raleigh Neighborhood

East Central Raleigh is a vast area containing several terrific neighborhoods. If you want to live in East Central Raleigh and be in the heart of it all, then consider Dacian Valley, Worthdale, or Trails Corner for your next apartment.Dacian Valley is characterized by small, brick starter homes and some older frame cottages. There are also a good number of apartments and townhouses in the area. Dacian Valley boasts many tall pine trees and other large shade trees. There are some sidewalks, and stands of trees border the edges of the subdivision.

Several recreational facilities are close to the Dacian Valley area. The Raleigh Country Club is located off Poole Road. The club features an 18-hole golf course and a swim center that overlooks the 15th green. Dining and entertainment are offered in the cabana and in the clubhouse. The club also caters special events. Worthdale Park is a city park located off Sunnybrook Road, which offers sports facilities, picnic areas, and walking paths.

The neighborhood of Worthdale is four miles from downtown Raleigh and its many trendy restaurants, art galleries, and lively nightspots. For those who work in the business district, this makes for a reasonable commute. It’s about six miles from the main campus of North Carolina State University. And it’s a 20-mile distance to the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Trails Corner is a small neighborhood in East Central Raleigh. It is just two miles from downtown Raleigh, and it is close to Chavis Park – a 37-acre park with a playground. Roberts Park is also in proximity to Trails Corner. This park is home to picnic areas, tennis courts, a softball diamond, and basketball courts.
