Bluemont Lakes is located in the southern portion of Fargo, North Dakota. It is roughly square in shape, and is bordered on the north side by US Highway 52. On the east, the boundary is formed by 25th Street South and to the south by 32 Avenue South. The western border is made up by Interstate 29. Bluemont Lakes was annexed into the city in 1995. The area is predominately residential and is bordered by two of the city’s commercial areas, 25th and 32nd Streets. The large manmade Bluemont Lakes are located in the center of the neighborhood.

Located within the south central edge of the neighborhood is Ed Clapp Park. The park features a playground, basketball courts, soccer fields, an ice skating/hockey rink, and restrooms. To the north west is Woodbury Park. Woodbury offers a playground, picnic tables, and shelters. Near the neighborhood is Prairiewood Public Golf Course. It is a 9-hole gold course designed with beginner golfers and senior golfers. Anderson Park is north of the Bluemont Lake neighborhood. The park features 8 softball fields and is often host to national and state softball tournaments.

Bluemont Lakes is just minutes away from many conveniences. There are nearly a dozen of restaurants, a library, a grocery store, retail store, and many medical facilities. There are several churches in the Bluemont neighborhood. Schools in the area include Brighter Beginnings Preschool, Oak Grove Lutheran Elementary School, Jefferson Elementary School, Kennedy Elementary School, Discovery Middle School, Children’s Montessori Center, Fargo South High School, and Shanley High School.
