Fargo’s Points West neighborhood is one of the fastest growing residential districts in Fargo. The eastern end that runs along Interstate Highway 29 is largely industrial, but west of 42nd Street South is a collection of single family homes, apartment complexes, and townhomes. Being on the southwestern edge of the Fargo, Points West offers a quiet, suburban lifestyle.

Points West is a half mile south of one of Fargo’s largest urban parks. Anderson Park, on 45th Street Southwest is home to the Anderson Softball Complex. Eight fully lit and meticulously maintained softball fields frequently host both state and national amateur games. Three golf courses are within three miles of Points West, Osgood Golf Course to the southwest, Rose Creek Golf Course in the southeast, and the Fargo Country Club due east.

One of the larger malls in Fargo, the West Acres Shopping Center, is less than two miles north via 42nd Street South or Interstate 29. Big name brands include Sears, JC Penney and Macy’s. The mall is also home to the West Acres Cinema 14, a food court with vendors selling everything from crepes to Cajun food, and dine-in restaurants such as Granite City Food and Beverage and Chili’s.

Back in the neighborhood, Pointe West Park playground on 33rd Avenue South offers a bit of nearby open green space. Schools in the area include Kennedy Elementary on 42nd Street South, Sister Rosalind Gefre School on 39th Street South, and Children’s Montessori Center on Tom Williams Drive. Nearby churches include the Living Waters Lutheran on 40th Avenue South, Community Baptist Church on 35th Avenue South, and the First Assembly of God on 25th Street South. The MAT transit system offers services to Pointe West.
