Columbus at a Glance
Brookside Colony Neighborhood
The Brookside Colony neighborhood is one of the most convenient for enjoying all that nearby Dublin and greater Columbus have to offer. Parks, shopping, golf, theater, festivals and great recreational facilities literally surround the neighborhood.
Homes are definitely high-end. Most are comfortable two stories, located on smaller, well-tended lawns. It is a neighborhood of sidewalks and quiet cul-de-sacs, with large shade trees. Brookside Colony is bound by I-270, Snouffer Road and Sawmill Road in zip code 43235.
Brookside Country Club is within walking distance, less than a mile south. Five other great clubs, both public and private, are within a 10 mile radius.
Nearby Historic Dublin is a great place to shop, explore, and relax, with architecture dating back 200 years to its founding. Many of its homes and businesses are on the National Register of Historic Places. The Dublin Irish Festival has been named one of the top events in North America. One of the festival stages is just west of Sawmill Road.
Perry Park is a neighborhood park, located just south of Snouffer Road. A short drive across the river gives residents access to Olentangy Park and miles of trails along the Olentangy River. Highbanks Metropark has trails through mature forest to a scenic overlook and the river below. The 100 foot bluffs and wildlife observation areas make it a very special urban park.
For upscale shopping, entertainment, movie theaters and dining, Polaris Shopping Center is popular with both locals and tourists. In addition to popular retailers such as Macy’s and Sears, there is a Saks Fifth Avenue, Barnes and Noble and Cheescake Factory. There are eight eateries and four full-service restaurants here, as well as a Hilton Hotel.
The neighborhood is north of OSU Airport and about 10 miles south of two large reservoirs, great for boating and fishing.
