Crossroads Neighborhood

Northeast of downtown Columbus, Ohio is the small neighborhood of Crossroads. The neighborhood is likely named for the massive interchange of Interstate 270, Interstate 670, and Route 317. Crossroads, a semi-rural neighborhood that features small ranch-style homes and cottages on narrow roads, sits just to the west of the interchange.

Schools in the Crossroads area include Mifflin High School, Bradford School, and St. Thomas the Apostle School. The Ohio State University campus is also nearby.

Columbus Fish Market, Sushi Ko Japanese Restaurant, El Acapulco Mexican Restaurant, and J. Alexander’s Restaurant are all popular local eateries.

Local nightlife opportunities include Axis Nightclub, Park Street Tavern, Ruby Tuesday, and the Wall Street Nightclub.

Great family fun locations include the Columbus Zoo, the Zoombezi Bay Waterpark, and Magic Mountain.

For a bit of history, visit the Olentangy Indian Caverns and learn how this place became a refuge for the Wyandotte Indians. Other activities on the grounds include gem mining, miniature golf, a petting zoo, and visit Frontier Land. Olentangy also hosts wedding receptions.

The Nationwide Arena is home to the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets and the AFL’s Columbus Destroyers. The Columbus Crew play soccer at Columbus Crew Stadium. The Cleveland Indians’ AAA affiliate, the Columbus Clippers, play at Huntington Park. Ohio State Football and Basketball are also big draws for sports fans, although tickets tend to be hard to come by.
