Knolls West Neighborhood

Knolls West, in Columbus, Ohio is bounded by Henderson Road to the south, Kenny Road to the east, Bethel Road to the north, and Reed Road to the west. Knolls West is in North West Columbus.

The Knolls West area has ranch homes, two-story floor plans, and split level homes. The subdivision was built in the late 1960s, and some homes were built as late as 1973. Prices for homes reflect the size of the homes and the desirability of the area, with prices generally at the upper median or higher.

The Knolls West has a family appeal. Wide streets and sidewalks, parks with walking tracks, and the Olentangy Bike and Running Trail nearby help make Knolls West a healthy place. The bikes, balls, and basketball hoops in the area are telltale signs of family life.

Columbus Public Schools is the school system for Knolls West, which include Winterset Elementary and Centennial High School, both some of the best schools in the state. The area also is close to The Wellington School, at 3650 Reed Road, is a private school offering Kindergarten through 12th grade. The Diocese of Columbus has St. Andrew School, at 1899 McCoy Road, and St. Timothy School, at 1088 Thomas Lane, for those who are interested in a Catholic education for their children.

The Knolls West is in the shadow of the Horseshoe where the Ohio State Buckeyes play home football games. One of the largest NCAA programs in the country, OSU football can put over 100,000 people in the seats for every game. Football Saturday gets even crazier when Michigan rolls into town for one of the greatest rivalry games of all time.
