Northcrest Neighborhood

The community of Northcrest is a mixed residential and commercial community located in northern Columbus. The community is situated in Franklin County, within ZIP code 43220.

Northcrest consists of single-family housing as well as plenty of apartment and condominium living options. Homes in the area are primarily ranch style, with two-story homes built throughout the 1980s.

The community of Northcrest is conveniently located near U.S. Highway 33, West Henderson Road, the Ohio State University Airport, multiple parks, shopping centers, golf courses, and Riverside Methodist Hospital. The community is also situated between two major interstates, I-270 and I-71, offering convenient access for residents to both major roadways, downtown Columbus, and the Ohio State University.

Public schools that students in the area attend include Daniel Wright Elementary School, Hastings Middle School, Centennial High School, and Noble Academy–Columbus.

There are more than 10 shopping centers just in the immediate vicinity of Northcrest, offering residents a quite a few choices when it comes to groceries, dining, general shopping, and services. Some of the larger shopping centers in the area include the Northwest Shopping Center, Carriage Place Shopping Center, Greentree Shopping Center, Arlington Square, and, a little farther away, the Mall at Tuttle Crossing.

Northcrest Park, which is located within the community, offers locals a place to have a picnic or play soccer, basketball, tennis, or softball. Northwest Park, which lies just to the south of Northcrest, is kid-friendly, with a playground and plenty of green space in which to run and play.

Elite golfers enjoy the nearby Ohio State University Golf Course. This private course, which was founded in 1938, hosted both the 2007 and 2008 U.S. Open Sectionals.
