Northwoods Neighborhood

The quiet, wooded neighborhood of Northwoods gets its name from the large forested area that borders its western side. Consequently, many residences have the luxury of a beautiful view of the woods. Northwoods is located in ZIP code 43235 in Columbus. This Franklin County community lies to the west of North High Street and north of The Pontifical College.

The neighborhood is pet-friendly and has many local parks. Some area apartment communities have their own pools and athletic courts. Several places of worship are nearby, including the Worthington Christian Church, which is located within the neighborhood.

Northwoods is just minutes from Interstates 270, 315, and 71 and all of the premier shopping, best dining, and most exciting entertainment choices that Columbus has to offer. Polaris Fashion Place, the Tuttle Crossing Mall, the Shops on Lane Avenue, and the Easton Town Center are all just a short drive away. Countless gourmet restaurants are at residents’ fingertips, as are an assortment of movie theatres, sports arenas, and even a comedy club.

The neighborhood has its own small commercial district, with various local businesses, restaurants, and specialty stores. Residents also like to do their shopping at the nearby Olentangy Valley Shopping Center.

The children of Northwoods attend schools in the Worthington City School District, one of the top school districts in Columbus. Ninety percent of its students move on to higher education, and 80 percent of its teachers hold at least a master’s degree.

Major area employers include J.P. Morgan Chase, the Ohio State University Hospital, the Riverside Methodist Hospital, and Marina Healthcare.

Northwoods residents like to hit the links at York Temple Country Club, a well-established, family-friendly golf course. The club is a popular place for parties and wedding receptions.
