Parkview Neighborhood
Columbus, Ohio’s Parkview community is located to the east of Minerva Lake Golf Club and the adjoining Minerva Park neighborhood. By way of further orientation, James O. Casto Park is found to the north of the community, while Strawberry Farms Park is located to the east of Parkview. Huber Ridge neighborhood can be found to the northeast of Parkview. Thus, Parkview is aptly named for its close proximity to a great number of local parks.
Parkview residents enjoy the convenience of several close shopping centers to their homes. For example, Alum Creek Plaza Shopping Center is situated to the north of the Parkview community and Parkridge Park is located near the southern boundary of the neighborhood. In addition, Easton Square Shopping Center is conveniently close to the southern perimeter of the Parkview neighborhood.
East Dublin Granville Road and Westerville Road intersect to the immediate northwest of the Parkview neighborhood, making commutes from the community quick and easy for residents. Further, Interstate 270, located to the east of Parkview, is the major commuting artery running north-south through the Columbus, Ohio area.
Parkview’s established homes were built in the 1970s, and some even as early as the 1940s. More recent additions to the community were constructed in 1980s and late 1990s. Square footage ranges in Parkview’s homes from 976 square feet for the smaller models to over 1,744 square feet for some of its larger floor plans. Most of Parkview’s homes are three-bedroom models with one to two baths, on average. Home prices in Parkview range from the high $60,000s to approximately $165,000.
Parkview residents enjoy community activities and active recreational lifestyles. Parkview United Methodist Church, for instance, offers an active Boy Scouts program for interested youth in the community.
