Pine Hills Neighborhood

The Pine Hills neighborhood is situated in eastern Columbus, Ohio, within Franklin County. This community extends to East Livingston Avenue on the north, Interstate 70 on the south, and Interstate 270 on the east. The western boundary is created by Kraner Park and the adjacent waterway. Woodcrest Road meanders through the neighborhood from north to south, splitting it roughly into halves. The zip code for Pine Hills is 43232.

Nestled immediately northwest of the interstate intersection and adjacent to a significant amount of parkland, Pine Hills offers residents both the conveniences of city living and the beauty of nature. On one hand, the nearby interstates host a variety of commercial offerings and provide a nearly direct route into downtown Columbus. On the other, nearby Kraner Park and adjacent Big Walnut Park offer a variety of outdoor amenities within minutes of Pine Hills. Some of these include hiking and biking trails, a variety of playing fields, and six tennis courts.

Residents of Pine Hills area are just a short drive from several area golf courses. The closest to home is the Walnut Hill Golf Club, situated about one mile from the neighborhood on the other side of I-270. This scenic 9-hole, par 36 course is popular among leagues, school golf teams, and area golfers of various skill levels. The club also offers a pro shop and complete practice facilities.

For local shopping, Pine Hills’ residents are literally surrounded on all sides. With more than one dozen retail centers within a five-mile radius of the neighborhood, residents need not venture far from home for shopping trips. Some of the nearby options include a J.C. Penney’s Outlet Store, Chantry Square Shopping Center, Eastland Mall Shopping Center, and Hamilton Hills Shopping Center.

Schools near Pine Hills include Woodcrest Elementary School and Walnut Ridge High School, both on Livingston Avenue.
