Teakwood Neighborhood
To the east and slightly north of downtown Columbus is the neighborhood of Teakwood. There are only a few single-family residences in Teakwood, on the north side of Woodward Avenue, and all of them are small, older-style homes. Brentnell Park is within the neighborhood, and Amvet Village Park forms the border to the north. The eastern half of the neighborhood is dominated by the campus of the Ohio Dominican University.
Teakwood families have several schools nearby: Mifflin High School, Bradford School, and St.Thomas the Apostle School. Among dining options for neighborhood residents are the Café Istanbul, Smith and Wollensky, McCormick & Schmick’s, and Old Bag of Nails.

Theater lovers enjoy visiting the Palace Theatre, Ohio Theatre, Lincoln Theatre, and the Southern Theatre.
