Vasser Village Neighborhood

Vasser Village is one of the historic neighborhoods of Columbus, Ohio. There are homes in the neighborhood that date from as far back as the mid 19th century. Many of the homes are craftsmen bungalows from the early 20th century. There are some duplexes as well.

The borders of the neighborhood are Frebis Avenue to the north, East Woodrow Avenue to the south, Parsons Avenue to the west and South Champion Avenue to the east. The Vasser Village zip code is 43207. The neighborhood is located south of downtown Columbus. There is a public bus service on the main streets in the neighborhood.

Lincoln Park is a 16 acre park with a community swimming pool, picnic area, basketball, baseball and a playground. It is located in the southern part of the Vasser Village neighborhood. Barack Community Center is located in Lincoln Park. It is open Tuesday through Saturday and has basketball and volleyball courts, an auditorium, weight room, inside running track, boxing ring and classroom for educational activities. There are all sorts of things offered, including line dancing and table games.

There is another park in the north east section of the neighborhood; the 2 acre Karns Park. It offers a playground, baseballs field, basketball court and picnic area.

Parsons Avenue has some fast food restaurants, including Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen and Rally’s Hamburgers. There is also a Kroger Supermarket and a CVS Pharmacy on Parsons Avenue.
