Cherry Bottom Neighborhood

Access to Cherry Bottom neighborhood is available through Interstate 270, Highway 161, Highway 62, and Cherry Bottom Road.

Opportunities for recreation are provided through Thoreau Pond, Blendon Woods Metropolitan Park, Strawberry Farms Park, and Cherry Bottom Park. Thoreau Pond is a Franklin County reservoir that doubles as a popular neighborhood fishing spot.

The 653-acre Blendon Woods Metropolitan Park consists of many stream cut ravines. The park offers ice skating, disc golf, a nature center, a pet trail, five miles of walking and hiking trails, and cross-country skiing. The Walden Waterfowl Refuge, including the 11-acre Thoreau lake, also calls this area home. The refuge provides a sanctuary for hundreds of birds and other wildlife. It is open year round and provides two elevated observation shelters.

Strawberry Farms Park provides facilities for picnicking, an open air shelter, a walking trail, a playground, and a wildlife area. Cherry Bottom Park also provides a woods and wildlife area.

The Ohio Herb Education Center provides an herb resource library, a gift shop, and classes on the culinary, medicinal, and aromatic uses of herbs.

The Easton Square Shopping Center not only offers opportunities for shopping, but it also houses concerts, stand-up comedy acts, and art festivals.

Area hotels include Extended Stay America, Towneplace Suites by Marriott, Sprinhill Suites by Marriott, Candlewood Suites Hotel, Holiday Inn Express, and Hampton Inn and Suites.
