Trabue Woods Neighborhood

Trabue Woods is a mostly residential community in western Columbus, Ohio, roughly 15 minutes from the downtown area. It is bounded by Trabue Road on the north, Interstate 70 on the south, Conrail Yard on the west, and I-270 on the east. Trabue Woods is situated in the 43228 zip code area, within Franklin County.

This neighborhood consists of more than 375 single-family homes, which have rather spacious front and back yards. The Maranatha Baptist Church is also within neighborhood bounds, to the northeast. The neighborhood is diverse, including single people, recently married couples, families with children, and retirees.

Many amenities are situated near Trabue Woods. For local shopping, residents head to Westpointe Plaza Shopping Center, about one mile to the southwest. A chain of retail centers can also be found a few miles south of the neighborhood, along National Road Southwest. Among the retail options here is the Westland Mall, an 860,000-square-foot indoor shopping complex that is anchored by a Sears and a Staples.

Trabue Woods is a convenient neighborhood for golfers, with at least four courses situated within a five-mile radius of the community. Closest to home, just on the other side of I-270 along Trabue Road, is the Raymond Memorial Golf Course. Designed more than 50 years ago by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., this public 18-hole course is one of the city’s finest. It was given “four and a half stars” by Golf Digest. Trabue Woods residents that prefer a private golf club experience can head a few miles west to Thomapple Country Club, along Alton Darby Creek Road.

Several parks and a few medical centers are also within a few miles of this neighborhood, and The Ohio State University is less than 10 miles to the east.
