Deer Creek Neighborhood

Deer Creek is located north of downtown Columbus. This community is predominately residential and apartment buildings. Deer Creek is bordered by Interstate 71 and Interstate 270. There are several parks within a few minutes of Deer Creek.

Deer Creek is a neighborhood full of mature trees and well manicured lawns. When residents drive through Deer Creek they will see single family homes set in closer to the streets and apartment buildings that are extremely well taken care of. This neighborhood is a very tight knit community.

There are a few large parks very close to Deer Creek. The largest of these is Sharon Woods Metropolitan Park. This park is loaded with things for residents to do. There are miles of bike trails, jogging paths, and nature walks. Sharon Woods Metro Park also has a small lake in it and is great for novice and veteran anglers alike. This park also has several picnic pavilions and playground areas for residents to spend the afternoon. Sharon Woods Metropolitan Park also has a nature preserve and plenty of observation stations for residents to enjoy all of the wild life and vegetation. On one end of this park guests and residents can enjoy an area of sports fields like, soccer fields, baseball fields, and softball fields. The second largest park in the Deer Park area is Highbanks Metro Park. This park is, essentially, a sports facility park. Residents will come here for baseball/softball and soccer games. This park has several bleachers to watch all of the sporting events. Highbanks Park also has picnic areas, hiking trails, biking trails, and playground equipment.
