Camelot Bel-Aire Neighborhood

The Camelot Bel-Aire community in Oklahoma City is an established neighborhood comprised of one-story, traditional brick homes that sit on neatly landscaped yards with mature vegetation.

Shaded properties include such trees as maples, oaks, redbuds, birches, lindens, and gingkoes. The vegetation draws a variety of birds to the location as well including the state bird, the scissor-tailed flycatcher, whose long tail opens scissors-like while in flight. Hummingbirds, vireos, sapsuckers, and woodpeckers also make the neighborhood their habitat.

The established, family-oriented community is located south of Northwest 122nd Street, west of North Pennsylvania Avenue, north of West Hefner Road and east of North May Avenue. Residents are conveniently located to shopping, such as the Quail Springs Mall, which is at 2501 West Memorial Road. The enclosed shopping center features major retailers such as Dillard’s, J.C. Penney and Sears as well as a host of specialty shops including Payless Shoe Source, The Disney Store, Kay Jewelers and American Eagle Outfitters among many others.

For fresh produce, locals in the area like to visit the Oklahoma City Public Farmer’s Market at 311 South Klein Avenue downtown. Fresh fruit and vegetables are sold seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the evening.
