Crestwood Neighborhood

Crestwood is a neighborhood in Oklahoma City. The Crestwood Baptist Church has been a landmark in the community since the mid-1920s. Crestwood is an established community offering many amenities to its residents. Located close to State Fair Park, Crestwood offers easy access to one of the largest state fair parks in the country. The grounds of the park are vast and have many multi-use buildings, including the Space Tower, exposition centers, an outdoor speedway, and several pavilions. Events hosted by State Fair Park include auto racing, horse shows, concerts, rodeos, conventions, exhibitions, and many more.

The neighborhood has many Tudor Revival one-story houses, as well as some bungalows and Spanish-style residences. Crestwood is in ZIP code 73107 and is bounded by NW 23rd Street on the north, NW 16th Street on the south, North May Avenue on the west, and North Villa Avenue on the east. Interstate 44 is a short distance west of the community and provides access to other parts of Oklahoma City. Cleveland Elementary, an arts and science magnet school, also services the Crestwood community. The northern side of the neighborhood is lined with shops and businesses.

Oklahoma City University is northeast of the Crestwood neighborhood and has 104 acres of park-like land. The university is a co-educational private school affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Bricktown is a popular area for fine dining and entertainment and is in the heart of Oklahoma’s entertainment district. Bricktown is surrounded by restored red-brick warehouses and is filled with specialty shops and restaurants. Another popular venture in Biricktown is riding a water taxi along the Bricktown Canal.
