Get ready to fall in love! The Hillcrest neighborhood has it all – proximity to downtown, a wooded landscape, and a pedestrian-friendly setting. Oklahoma City Community College is on the southwest edge of the neighborhood, while the east side borders Hidden Trails Golf and Country Club. Will Rogers World Airport is west of the neighborhood.

Cruise up Pennsylvania Avenue roughly six miles and you’ll be in downtown Oklahoma City, where you can visit the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Chesapeake Energy Arena, the Cox Convention Center, and the Civic Center Music Hall.

Closer to your apartment in Hillcrest, the Almonte Shopping Center at the northwest corner of the neighborhood provides several restaurants. The northern border of the neighborhood, 59th Street, provides a variety of shops and businesses. The area around the college features a variety of shops, bookstores, and restaurants geared toward the student population. Along the Southeast Expressway just past the golf course, the 74 South Shopping Center offers the GreenAcres Market, local favorites such as Pioneer Pies Restaurant and Bakery and Old Chicago, banks, and several other shops and businesses.

You’ll find several parks just outside of the neighborhood, including Syl Goldman Park. This park offers a playground, hiking trails, and sports fields. Nearby Sellers Park features a water park that is ideal for children. Woodson Park, just north of Hillcrest, features a swimming pool, senior activity center, ball fields, and a gym.

Oklahoma City Community College offers hundreds of classes to more than 28,000 students. The college offers Associate degree programs that can be transferred to other colleges and universities, as well as professional certification programs. OCCC is Oklahoma’s fourth-largest college, granting nearly 2,000 degrees every year. Students attending OCCC might want to transfer to nearby Oklahoma City University or Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City, located just seven miles from Hillcrest.
