Kingsridge Neighborhood
The southwest Oklahoma City neighborhood of Kingsridge is well known for its pristine landscaping. Neighbors are expected to adhere to an underlying set of neighborhood guidelines to ensure a high level of home maintenance, and to participate in ongoing neighborhood beautification projects.
The local homeowner’s association is very active, working to improve the value of property in the neighborhood and highlight neighborhood safety issues. Many of the more serious projects are accompanied by fun events. For example, National Night Out, which focuses on safety, was supplemented with a cook-out at the neighborhood YMCA. The neighborhood hosts local events year round, from garage sales to picnics.
In addition to the outstanding quality of the local neighborhood‘s landscaping, area residents have some great green spaces in their community. These include Earlywine Park and Sellars Park. Earlywine Park and Aquatic Center on Southwest 119th Street offers Kingsridge residents a wide range of recreational amenities, including a swimming pool, a golf course, soccer fields, tennis courts, and miles of trails. Families enjoy the toddler-friendly pool area and playgrounds.
Sellars Park on South Villa Avenue is another outstanding neighborhood park, with an indoor gym and recreation center, a baseball diamond, and tennis courts. However, younger Kingsridge residents are fond of the swimming pool and the “sprayground,” an interactive water park on site.
Kingsridge residents who enjoy fishing and boating will find three urban area reservoirs within easy driving distance. Water skiing and jet skiing are also available at Lake Draper.
A number of smaller retail areas lie within easy reach of Kingridge, including Brookwood North Shopping Center, Nelson Park Shopping Center, Southwestern Plaza Shopping Center, and Malibu Shopping Center.
