Lakeview Neighborhood

Lakeview is a quiet family neighborhood surrounded by many amenities which enrich the lives of its residents. Located in the zip code of 73132, Lakeview is contained by Northwest Expressway on the north, NW 63rd Street on the south, N MacArthur Boulevard on the west and N Meridian Avenue on the east. Residents of Lakeview can take the Northwest Expressway to Interstate 44 and travel to downtown Oklahoma City and enjoy the Oklahoma City Zoo.

The zoo has a world class exhibit of a tropical rain forest with gorillas, orangutans, and chimpanzees called The Great EscApe. It also has an Island Life exhibit that has animals from around the world that live on islands such as Madagascar. A Butterfly Garden with 15,000 plants for the butterflies is another attraction of the zoo. The zoo is one of many attractions in the downtown area.

Lakeview Pet Hospital is a comforting facility in the neighborhood for pet lovers. Dolese Youth Park is a park that has baseball and soccer fields, an eighteen hole disc golf course, a jogging trail that goes around the park, a playground and a kid’s fishing pond.

Oklahoma City Swing Dance Club is located in Springdale Shopping center and has a school which offers dance lessons to the community, such as country and western and ballroom dancing.

Lake Hefner is east of Lakeview and has facilities for family picnics. It has a 17 mile shoreline where dozens of water bird species land during their annual migrations. The lake is great for sailing. Sailboat races are held at the lake from April to December. Fishing is also available at the lake.
