Founded in 1890, UCO has a 210-acre campus, a strong academic curriculum with 112 majors, and an athletics program featuring sports such as football, basketball, baseball, golf and wrestling.

During the fall, many Northeast Oklahoma City residents head to the 10,000-seat Wantland Stadium on campus to see the Broncho football team play against teams including Pittsburg State, Tarleton State and Angelo State University. Wantland Stadium is also home field for all three Edmond high school teams, Santa Fe, North and Memorial.
