Northridge Neighborhood

Ready access to public wildland and scenic Lake Hefner make life in Northridge seem like a perpetual vacation. The community sits just minutes from arterial roadways that quickly lead to various local destinations.

Northridge lies in the 73132 zip code area. The community is bounded by Northwest 90th Street on the north, North Council Road on the east, Northwest Wilshire Boulevard on the south, and Raven Avenue and North McKee Boulevard on the west. The Northwest Expressway 3 runs to the east, and the John Kilpatrick Turnpike to the west. The area is primarily residential, although there is a commercial building in the eastern section of the neighborhood.

Of the myriad attractive aspects of living in Northridge is Harvest Hills Park, which sits outside of the neighborhood to the north. This scenic city park lies next to Harvest Hills Elementary School and has a baseball field, a playground, a sprayground, and hiking trails.

Those who enjoy watersports and fishing can travel a short distance to the east just past Highway 3 to Lake Hefner. Built in 1957, this 2,500-acre lake offers a wide variety of amenities to visitors, including covered fishing piers and boat ramps. Surrounding the lake is the Lake Hefner Trail, a nine mile asphalt roadway around the lake. A playground sits onshore, and the Lake Hefner Golf Club offers visitors two lakeside courses.

Not too far outside of the neighborhood is the Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge. This 1,000-acre site has hardwood forests, swamps, and marshes that provide refuge to native wildlife.
