Oak Grove Neighborhood

Oak Grove is a community situated about five miles (10 minutes) west of the heart of downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This neighborhood is situated just east of South Portland Avenue and south of Southwest 15th Street. Interstate 44 runs past the neighborhood on the east, and it intersects with I-40 less than one mile north of the neighborhood. Oak Grove is situated in the 73108 zip code area, within Oklahoma County. Area communities include Boeking Acres, Rockwood, and Jackson.

The Oak Grove neighborhood is surrounded by several area parks, including State Fair Park, which is situated a few miles north along I-44. This large park is the home of the annual Oklahoma State Fair, as well as the horse show capital of the world. Another attraction near Oak Grove is the Will Rogers World Airport, located a few miles south along I-44. Having an international airport so close to home is a clear benefit for frequent travelers.

Just east of the airport, still within a few miles of Oak Grove, is the Willow Creek Golf & Country Club. More affluent residents of the neighborhood may belong to this prestigious private club, which offers a variety of amenities for golfing, tennis, swimming, dining, and socializing.

When residents of Oak Grove are looking for culture and entertainment, they make the 10-minute drive into downtown Oklahoma City. Among the attractions found here are the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark, (home of the RedHawks – the city’s minor league baseball team,) the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, the Ford Center, and the Myriad Botanical Gardens.
