This community consists primarily of single-family homes along a few streets south of Northwest 150th Street and west of North Portland Avenue/Highway 74. North MacArthur Boulevard runs past the neighborhood about one mile to the west, and the John Kilpatrick Turnpike traverses the area about a half-mile east. Just on the other side of the turnpike is Mercy Health Center, a convenient health care option, and Martin Park, which offers residents a nearby option for outdoor recreation. For those residents who prefer a private golf club, the Quail Creek Golf & Country Club is also situated in this area. This prestigious club offers a beautiful 18-hole golf course, as well as other amenities like tennis, swimming, and fitness facilities.

A public golf course can be found a few miles south of Remington, adjacent to scenic Lake Hefner. The lake is a popular weekend attraction in and of itself, and the bordering parkland offers other amenities in addition to the Lake Hefner Golf Course.

For local shopping, Remington residents are just a short drive from a variety of shopping centers. A few miles east of the neighborhood, along the turnpike, are the most prominent options – the Quail Springs Mall and the Quail Springs Marketplace. Here, residents can easily spend a day shopping, dining, and enjoying a movie at the AMC Theater. South of this retail area, adjacent to the Quail Creek Golf & Country Club, area a handful of additional shopping centers.
