Britton Place Neighborhood

The proximity of Lake Hefner and its many amenities makes Britton Place a great neighborhood to live in. Staying fit and healthy can be quite enjoyable for residents, as the Lake Hefner Trails surround the lake and its many recreational areas. These nine miles of trail can be used for walking, bicycling, running, and skating. Along parts of the trail are portable toilets and water fountains.

The large Stars and Stripes Park sits on the southeast corner of Lake Hefner. The park has picnic areas, great playgrounds, fishing, and a beautiful view of the lake.

Britton Place is located within the 73162 zip code, and is contained by NW 93rd Street on the south, West Hefner Road on the north, North Rockwell Avenue on the west, and North MacArthur on the east.

Wiley Post Airport lies west of Britton Place and is one of three airports operated by the Oklahoma City Department of Airports. It is used for general aviation, business, and corporate air travel. South of Wiley Post Airport is Will Rogers World Airport, providing residents with access to the rest of the country.

A tour of the State Capitol Building will expose residents to the history of Oklahoma’s government. The Oklahoma Veterans Memorial is located outside on the north side of the capitol complex. Four walls represent World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. The American Banjo Museum has the largest display of banjos in the world. It also has a 60 seat theater for year-round live music.
