South West 60th Neighborhood

The South West 60th neighborhood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is situated between South May Avenue on the east and South Drexel Avenue on the west. The neighborhood’s numbered streets run north to south, and include Southwest 60th through Southwest 65th Streets. The South West 60th neighborhood is located in the 73159 zip code area.

The South West 60th neighborhood is characterized by small neat brick-and-frame homes with small yards. Side yards are very small, so houses tend to be close together. Most homes have garages, and backyards tend to be fenced. The neighborhood does not have sidewalks, but its quiet streets are still safe for strolls.

Southwest 59th Street is a busy thoroughfare that is the home to many businesses and a few apartment buildings. The Almonte Shopping Center and Hillcrest Shopping Center are both off Southwest 59th Street, and are popular neighborhood shopping areas. The Kindred Hospital Oklahoma City South also sits along this street.

Further down Southwest 59th Street is the Willow Creek Golf and Country Club. This private club features a pro shop and fine dining in addition to its fine 18-hole golf course. The Willow Creek Club hosts many tournaments and special events.

The Will Rodgers Expressway/Interstate 44 is close to the South West 60th neighborhood, making access to other parts of Oklahoma City quite convenient. The Will Rodgers World Airport is also just a short commute down the expressway to the west of the subdivision.
