Springbrook Neighborhood

Springbrook is a neighborhood with recreation in mind. To begin with, it is a little more than a half mile from Lake Hefner.

Lake Hefner is a place that is superb for freshwater fishing. There are covered fishing areas, boat ramps and even a heated fishing dock. The lake also hosts numerous sailboat races each year. There are a number of paved trails near the lake for joggers and people who are simply out for a stroll. Additionally, there are wild birds and other animals to be seen and photographed near this lake.

Lakeshore Estates Park is located near Springbrook, giving people from the neighborhood a good shaded area from which to see the sailboat races, as well as giving them access to the water, and a place for kids to play. This park has massive shade trees, and is accommodating for those who are physically challenged.

There are also a number of smaller lakes near this community, so fishing and playing in the water isn’t limited to just one lake.

Springbrook is close to Lake Hefner Golf Course, which actually features two 18-hole regulation golf courses. Full grown trees grow in this golf course, and line a narrow fairway, increasing the challenge of golfing here. The golf course is both well known and beautifully maintained.

The neighborhood is also a little more than a mile from the historic Cherokee Hills Park. This is a culturally oriented park that is available for the community.

This neighborhood is a little more than two miles from Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge and Lake Overholser. This increases the opportunities to see wild birds and other wild animals.
