Central Park Neighborhood

Central Park is a Tulsa, Oklahoma neighborhood situated along the east side of the Cherokee Expressway. East 4th Place, South Utica Avenue, and South 11th Street form its other boundaries.

A main attraction in this neighborhood is Centennial Park. This 11-acre green space is well manicured and has a pond, waterfall, creek, and a paved walking trail, providing a pleasant place from which to admire the Tulsa skyline. A playground and spray pool gives children a place to have some fun. Another point of interest is a time capsule, scheduled to be opened in 2048.

The park’s 12,500-square-foot Central Center features an auditorium, fitness center, visual-arts room, commercial kitchen, and meeting rooms. Classes and activities are regularly offered here for locals to enjoy. It is rented out for special occasions. Centennial Park is also home to the Central Senior Center, which offers activities for older residents.

The Pearl District lies on the eastern edge of downtown Tulsa and is considered part of the Central Park neighborhood. Part residential, part business, and part warehousing, the Pearl District is a fast-growing live-work-play community.

The nearby Tulsa Performing Arts Center consists of four theaters. This is a terrific venue to catch Broadway productions, dance and comedy shows, opera, ballet, and other special events. It is just another great reason to rent your next apartment in the Central Park neighborhood.
