South Creekside Neighborhood

South Creekside’s spacious streets stretch east to west from South Lewis Avenue to Howard Avenue, and north to south from East 51st Street to East 61st in. This area, located in south Tulsa, Oklahoma, features stately brick architecture.

Golfers will find great greens in this community. The municipal course, Page Belcher, is located south of the city and boasts two 18-hole courses on 312 acres. The private Southern Hills Golf Course, located in the neighborhood, is considered one of the best in the county.

The Rivers is a large park system in Tulsa that lies along the Arkansas River. It extends out to the Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness area. The system provides multiple recreational opportunities. Biking and jogging trails wind through picnic areas with playgrounds and landscaped gardens. Disc golf, fishing, boating, hiking, biking, and horseback riding are all offered at Rivers Park.

Numerous seasonal events are held in the park, including festivals, concerts, and the largest July 4th fireworks display in Oklahoma. Tulsa’s Octoberfest, the oldest and one of the largest in the country, is held in River West Festival Park each fall. It has a floating stage and amphitheater.

Tulsa has a thriving Arts Community. The Performing Arts Center has five theaters, a large reception hall, and a studio. Tulsa residents enjoy seven musical and dramatic companies, including a symphony orchestra, ballet, and opera. There is a permanent collection of 70 pieces of art on display. Art shows and national and international guest performers and the Summer Stage Festival are scheduled throughout the year.
