Nestled in the trees, along a windy tree lined road, this property feels like a country getaway yet it's only minutes to downtown Portland. In this modern country cottage you will have all of the amenities and yet feel like you are on a retreat in nature. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the wrap around deck which overlooks the neighbors goats (currently there are three); or take a short 5 minute walk to a forested park that has a picturesque creek and trees that make you feel like you are miles away from everything. The yard is fully fenced. There is also a place to put a fire pit that you can retreat to on cool evenings. In the house you'll enjoy an open kitchen with a dishwasher and all stainless steal appliances. The oversized living room has ample space where you can watch your favorite shows on a big pull down screen and projector that makes you feel like you're at the movies. The dining room has enough room for your dining table and chairs. There is also a breakfast bar between the dining room and kitchen where you can talk to your guest while you're cooking. This room looks out sliding glass doors where you have a wonderful view of the neighbors garden and goats. Upstairs is a private bedroom with a door that closes and locks, and another spacious room (or set of rooms) that can be used as loft-style, open concept spaces for sleeping or lounging. The open space could also be used as meditation room, place to do yoga, extra office space, living room, or playroom. This room has plenty of outlets to make remote working a breeze. There are beautiful mahogany hardwood floors throughout. There is one full bathroom on the main floor and one upstairs attached to the private bedroom. There are vaulted ceilings throughout the second floor with skylights that let in ample light. The main bedroom has room for a queen size bed and a small walk in closet. This home is a great place for someone who loves to garden and comes with a working shed with all the tools you would need to garden. There is great storage throughout including in the attic space.
