Crestwood Neighborhood

The Crestwood neighborhood is part of Portland, Oregon, situated on the southwest side of the city, within Multnomah County. This highly desirable community is sometimes considered an extension of the nearby Multnomah Village district. It is part of the 97219 zip code, roughly bound by Interstate 5 and Southwest Dickinson Street on the south and Southwest Capitol Highway on the east. Its northernmost point extends to Southwest Marigold Street, and its western boundary zig-zags along Southwest 53rd, 54th, and 57th Avenues, as well as Southwest 54th Drive.

In total, this lovely community spans nearly a half square mile and is home to more than 1,085 residents. It is predominately a residential neighborhood, know for its older, yet very well maintained homes in classic and Craftsman styles. This neighborhood is a unique mix of bungalows, Victorian homes, and some newer construction. The lots here are well landscaped and residents enjoy the lovely views. This community is tucked into a stand of mature trees, which provides residents with a sense of seclusion within the city.

Crestwood residents enjoy easy access to Interstate 5, as well as plenty of city conveniences. Multnomah Village is within walking distance, offering plenty of trendy shops and unique dining experiences. For major shopping trips, residents may frequent the nearby Washington Square Mall.

A park and several natural areas can be found within neighborhood bounds and within walking distance of home. For example, Woods Memorial Park spans more than 30 forested acres on the northeast side of the community, offering opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, and just generally enjoying nature. Dickinson Park is also situated within neighborhood bounds, offering natural areas for picnicking and a playground for the kids.

Schools within one mile of the Crestwood neighborhood include Markham Elementary School and Jackson Middle School.
