Mt Tabor Neighborhood

East of downtown Portland, Mt. Tabor is a mix of home styles and residential lifestyles. Some of the homes are older and smaller ranch and bungalows types, while others are larger and more modern. The entire area is hilly and heavily wooded. Some of the streets in Mt. Tabor are quant “cubby-hole” affairs with homes literally just off the street. Home listings in Mt. Mt. Tabor is named for the extinct volcano cinder cone which is now Mt. Tabor Park. The neighborhood surrounds the park. The elevation is high enough here to provide views of Mt. St. Helens, Washington 45 miles away.

The Portland Center for the Performing Arts plays host to Broadway shows and other theatre events, the Portland Opera and the Oregon Symphony Orchestra. The Center also hosts pop concerts and several lectures and childrens events throughout the year.
