Denver, Pennsylvania is a small community located about an hour east of Harrisburg and about an hour west of Philadelphia. The borough was founded in 1735 by Swedish immigrant Hans Bucher. Named Bucher’s Thal, the arrival of the train and the subsequent train station in the 1800s fostered a name change to Union Station. In 1881, the name was officially changed to Denver.
