Glenshaw, PA Apartments for Rent

Roughly six miles north of Pittsburgh in the picturesque North Hills, Glenshaw is a charming little community in Shaler Township. In the early 19th century, John Shaw purchased 600 acres of land and built a gristmill, coal mine, and sickle factory. The area became known as “Shaw’s Glen,” and later simply “Glenshaw.” Glenshaw is the heart of Shaler Township, which grew around this original settlement.

Rent an apartment in Glenshaw and you may feel as though you are living in a small, rural community complete with hills and streams. And while that is true, downtown Pittsburgh is only a few minutes away – so the shops, restaurants, museums, theaters, and art galleries are well within reach of your quiet retreat.

Glenshaw is home to several beautiful parks, including Ellen Hughes Park, complete with tennis courts, baseball field, playground and basketball court, and the popular Kiwanis Park, which contains two playgrounds, picnic shelters, basketball courts, tennis courts, and the town’s only swimming pool. The largest park, Fall Run Park, is the largest at 93.65 acres. It includes a nature trail that leads to a beautiful waterfall.
