About Academy House Condominiums
The 37-story tall Academy House is the first purpose-built Condominium building in Philadelphia, and with 552 residences it is also one of the largest. This impressive size gives Academy House uncommon economies of scale, making it one of the most affordable condo buildings in the City, and by far the best value. Units range in size from junior 1-bedrooms all the way up to expansive multi-unit “condo estates.” In recent years, the Association has invested more than $10 million in updates to all of its common areas, including hallways, the lobby, grand Locust Street arcade entrance, outdoor terrace plaza, and brand new fitness and aquatic center (coming online in Fall 2018). All units are owned by individuals, some of whom rent out their units. Unlike most other condos in Philadelphia, HOA fees at Academy House include all utilities and all amenities with no extra fees, and the rents charged by the owners usually reflect that. Our size also gives us the resources to employ a large staff of 25 exceptional people dedicated to keeping the building well-maintained, running smoothly, and delivering a high level of personal service. Whether it is our attentive front desk staff, skilled in-house maintenance team, meticulous housekeeping crew, or watchful security guards . . . everyone is trained to care about our building and care about our residents. The Academy House is a diverse community and is home to families with young children, young professionals, couples, graduate students, and seniors as well as people of all ethnicities, cultures and gender identities. All are welcome at Academy House.
