Sewickley Hills Neighborhood

Sewickley Hills is one of just a few large boroughs in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, located on the southeast side of the city. Residents of this community are only a few minutes from the downtown area and approximately 30 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, with more city conveniences located closer to home, just on the other side of the Ohio River. This community spans the east side of Interstate 79, bordered by the boroughs of Sewickley Heights and Bell Acres to the west. It is part of Allegheny County, and it is in the 15143 zip code area.

This large borough consists of a mix of residential areas and commercial offerings, providing a home to many hundreds of residents. Much of the community remains undeveloped forestland, which adds to the natural beauty and secluded feel of the various residential areas.

Many attractions can be found on this side of the river, just a short drive from this community. Nearby parks like Blueberry Hill Park, Walker Park and War Memorial Park provide opportunities for outdoor recreation, including playgrounds, picnic areas, playing fields and walking trails. This borough is also convenient to at least two area golf courses, with the Allegheny Country Club located in neighboring Sewickley Heights and the Diamond Run Golf Course situated only a few miles to the southeast.

For local health care, Sewickley Valley Hospital is situated a few miles to the southwest, and several larger medical centers exist in nearby Pittsburgh.

Sewickley Hills is also just a short drive from the Pittsburgh International Airport, making this a potentially ideal neighborhood for frequent travelers. For aspiring college students, there are several universities in the area, including Robert Morris University to the west and the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University to the southeast.
