The neighborhood was named for famed architect Robert Mills. Best known for designing the Washington Monument, Mills designed a large antebellum-style home for a client. The garden, which was inspired by English gardens, is situated in a park-like setting and is open to the public. The Robert Mills House is available for weddings and other special events.
Martin Luther King Jr. Park, named for the civil rights activist, is near the neighborhood. The park features a gymnasium, community center, and playground. It also has a beautiful water fountain and a baseball diamond. Picnic tables are available.
