Eastside apartments are ideal for those who enjoy shopping – lots of shopping! Haywood Mall is a super-regional mall with over a million square feet of retail space. It is anchored by Macy’s, Dillard’s, Belk, Sears, and J.C. Penney. It also offers over 150 specialty stores, including Coach, Williams-Sonoma, and J. Crew. The mall is at the heart of a larger shopping and dining district, offering specialty stores and restaurants such as Southern Fried Green Tomatoes, McAlister’s Deli, and Miyabi Japanese Steak and Seafood House. Other shopping plazas in the area include Magnolia Park, home to a movie theater and a Costco, and the Shops at Greenridge, which features several chain restaurants such as PF Changs, Panera Bread, and Longhorn Steakhouse.

After selecting an apartment in Eastside, be sure to check out what’s happening at the Roper Mountain Science Center, winner of the 2015 Certificate of Excellence by Tripadvisor.com. The science center is home to the David E. Cromwell and Edward H. Stall Arboretum, the Harrison Hall of Natural Science and Technology, a butterfly garden, the Charles E. Daniel Observatory, the T.C. Hooper Planetarium, nature trails, and a living history farm. The living history farm is only open to the public during special events, so if you have an opportunity, it’s worth the trip. The farm demonstrates life in the Upstate during the early 1800s and includes log cabins, a blacksmith shop, a barn and more.

Bob Jones University is a small, private university that opened in 1927. It is a Protestant university accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools. Sports teams compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association. The university was founded by Robert Reynolds Jones, Sr., an American evangelist. The 205-acre campus contains a museum and a library.

With easy access to I-385, apartments in Eastside are minutes from Downtown Greenville, where you can attend sporting events and concerts at Bon Secours Wellness Arena, visit the Greenville Zoo at Cleveland Park, catch a performance at the Peace Center, or enjoy the natural beauty at Falls Park on the Reedy.
