The October Woods neighborhood is located in Antioch about 17 miles from Nashville. Downtown Nashville is easily accessible via nearby Interstate 20, which provides a nearly direct route into the city.

This community is bounded by Old Hickory Boulevard on the east. October Woods Drive traverses the neighborhood from east to west. Several small roadways protrude from this main drive, among them Colo Trial, Catspaw Drive, and Waywood Circle. Part of Davidson County, October Woods is in the 37013 zip code.

October Woods is almost entirely residential, made up of more than 100 single-family homes situated amid lush greenery and surrounded by wooded areas. Adjacent communities include Cane Ridge, Apple Valley, and Hickory Hills.

In addition to easy access to the nearby interstate, one of the most significant features of the October Woods neighborhood is its proximity to outdoor recreation options. Within minutes south of this neighborhood are two community parks, Crawford Park and Cane Ridge Park. The latter is the largest of the two, offering both open green space for games and picnics and wooded areas for hiking and exploring. Among the amenities there are trails, playing fields, tennis courts, and a playground.

Residents of October Woods are also within five miles southwest of the J. Percy Priest Reservoir, a large body of water that is surrounded by dozens of natural areas, parks, and other recreational areas. Residents come there for boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, camping, backpacking, picnicking, and wildlife viewing, among other activities.

For shopping close to home, residents of this community head just a few miles north to Hickory Hollow. Easily accessible via nearby I-24, Hickory Hollow offers a variety of retail centers, including the Hickory Hollow Mall, which is anchored by a Sears and Macy’s and offers a long list of specialty stores and dining options.
