Edmondson Neighborhood
Edmondson is a rather small Nashville neighborhood. Cloverland Drive is its northern border, and Old Smyrna Road is its southern border. The community encompasses Banbury Crossing, Banbury Way, Windy Hill Court, North Wickshire Way, Cottonport Drive, and Sterling Oaks Drive.
Lake Waterloo is adjacent to the community at its northwest border. Radnor Lake and the Radnor Lake State Natural Area and Wildlife Refuge are about three and a half miles to its northwest. The natural area offers massive hiking trails where respectful wildlife viewing is permitted.
The Tennessee Agricultural Museum is three miles north of Edmondson. The Travellers Rest Plantation & Museum is four miles to its north. It was built in 1799 and is a historical landmark.
Edmondon is a very dog-friendly community. Dog walkers are often seen along the sidewalks of its tree-lined streets, and its fenced-in yards often have at least one dog. The Shelby Dog Park is ten miles to its north. It’s a flat, green park with an off-leash area for dogs to play by themselves or with other canines. Centennial Dog Park is nine and a half miles to its northwest, and it welcomes dogs on its one-mile loop and fenced-in dog area.
Several of the more well-to-do Edmondon residents are members of the Brentwood Country Club, which is three miles to its west. It’s a family-friendly country club that offers sprawling golf courses, a luxury clubhouse, on-site dining, and fitness facilities. The Richland Country Club, which is also popular in the community, is fives miles to its northwest. The Governors Club is about three miles to its south.
