Ruby Falls and the entire Lookout Mountain Caverns is a National Historic Landmark.
Raccoon Mountain Caverns is another cave system that includes more than five and a half miles of passageways. Visitors to the cave system can also pan for gemstones, stay at the campground or cabins, and enjoy go-karts and nearby hiking and biking trails.
The county seat of Hamilton County is Chattanooga. A busy, dynamic and diverse city, Chattanooga has a strong economy based in manufacturing and tourism. It is home to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, one of the largest campuses of the University of Tennessee. Chattanooga State Community College and Temple University are also located in the city.
