Haynes Park Neighborhood

Located in the northern part of Nashville, Haynes Park is a suburban neighborhood surrounded by lush greenery and near two public parks. The area is convenient to downtown and is within walking distance of several local businesses that provide everyday needs, from groceries to pharmacies. Elementary school children living in the neighborhood may attend a school with an academically advanced program.

The Northwest branch of the Nashville YMCA is located just a few miles southwest of the Haynes Park neighborhood. The recently renovated facility has a licensed preschool and teen center in addition to the exercise equipment and fitness areas one would expect at the YMCA. Hartman Park and Recreation Center is located a few miles southeast of Haynes Park. The park offers a baseball/softball field and wide open green space, while the recreation center has the latest in exercise equipment and fitness classes offered for a small fee. The community center also has programs specifically designed to engage those with special disabilities and to involve young people in after school activities. Both facilities provide after school care to neighborhood kids.

Robert E. Lillard Elementary Design Center is the elementary school that serves the Haynes Park neighborhood. The school is one of the city’s magnet schools, attracting some of the city’s brightest students and focused on advanced academic studies. It teaches students from kindergarten through fourth grade.

The Haynes Park neighborhood is adjacent to Clarksville Highway, which leads directly into downtown Nashville. There are plenty of shops, stores and eateries along the road. Clarksville Highway also provides easy access to the main Interstate roads in the area.
