Urbandale Nations Neighborhood

With ready access to downtown and proximity to parkland, the community of Urbandale Nations offers residents a rare mix of urban and suburban life. Interstate 40 borders the neighborhood to the south, and a scenic park takes up the northwest section of the community.

There are many reasons to live in Urbandale Nations, such as the Cumberland River, which is located just a few blocks to the north. Besides magnificent scenery, this majestic waterway offers boating, kayaking, and fishing opportunities.

West Park sits in the northwest section of the community. This popular park has baseball diamonds, basketball courts, a playground, and a community center featuring meeting rooms, a gym, and fitness center.

A short distance outside of the neighborhood to the southwest is Charlotte Park. This community park has a wide variety of amenities, including baseball diamonds, a soccer field, tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, and hiking and jogging trails.

When sightseeing downtown is on the agenda, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is often on the top of the list. Founded in 1961 to preserve the history and songs of country music and educate audiences about this art form, this world-renowned museum has a wide variety of ever-changing, inspiring exhibits that honor country music legends.

Just down the street from the Country Music Hall of Fame is the legendary Ryman Auditorium. Opened as the Union Gospel Tabernacle in 1892, the building eventually housed the Grand Ole Opry for over 30 years from 1943 to 1974. The Ryman was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
