The Woodlands Neighborhood

Nestled alongside other residential communities in the city of Nashville, The Woodlands is a moderately populated neighborhood in the 37211 zip code. Old Hickory Boulevard serves as its northern border. It’s bordered to the east by the Hickory Heights community and to the west by Myrtlewood Estates. Christiansted Valley and Bradford Hills border it to the south.

Music City Park is a mile and a half north of The Woodlands. The 27.40-acre William A. Pitts Park is two miles to its northeast. Whitfield Park is just over two miles to its north, and it offers a playground for children, four baseball diamonds, a multiple-use ball field, and picnic tables. Radnor Lake State Natural Area is four miles northwest of the community, and it has canoeing on the lake, biking trails, hiking trails, a nature center, and plentiful wildlife.

The Woodlands is also a very family-friendly neighborhood, with several well-regarded public and private schools nearby. Artios Academy is a half-mile to its north. Grace Christian Academy, which is noted for the academic achievements of its students, is a mile to its west. Montessori Academy is a mile and a half to its southwest, while Shayne Elementary School is a mile and a half to its southeast.

Educational and cultural attractions also abound nearby. The Tennessee Agricultural Museum is two and a half miles to its northwest. Travellers Rest Plantation & Museum is three and a half miles to its northwest, and it centers around a 1799 historical mansion. The Lane Motor Museum, which has permanent and rotating exhibits, is seven miles to its north.
