Smith Springs Neighborhood

Smith Springs is a neighborhood in southeast Nashville, Tennessee, near Antioch. It consists primarily of Smith Springs Road, which lies west of Bell Road and north of Nashboro Boulevard. This area consists mostly of townhomes that sit in a lightly wooded area. Some of the townhome communities have on-site amenities like neighborhood pools. Smith Springs sits in the 37217 zip code area, within Davidson County.

Although the Smith Springs neighborhood is somewhat secluded, residents here are still within a short distance of many area amenities. For example, the Nashville International Airport is less than two miles west of the community, easily accessible via nearby Highway 41. For frequent travelers, being situated so close to an international airport could be a major benefit. Adjacent to the airport on the southwest is the Seven Oaks Disc Golf Course. One of just a few disc golf courses in the city, Seven Oaks is well maintained and highly playable for a variety of skill levels.

For more outdoor recreation, Smith Springs residents are situated just southwest of the J. Percy Priest Reservoir and a variety of parks, including the Long Hunter State Park. Closer to home are the Hamilton Creek Metropolitan Park and the Anderson Road Recreational Area. The former hosts the only mountain biking trail in the city, and the latter is popular for camping and fitness trails. However, the recreation area doesn’t allow pets, so be sure to leave Fido and Fluffy at home.

For local shopping, residents of Smith Springs are just a few miles north of the Hickory Hollow Mall, located along Interstate 24. For more shopping, dining, and entertainment options, residents live less than 20 minutes from the heart of downtown Nashville, the country music capital of the world.
