Chaparral Park North Neighborhood

Situated on the north side of El Paso, Texas, about nine miles from the heart of the downtown area, is the community of Chaparral Park North. Encompassing the 79912 zip code area within El Paso County, this community is surrounded by the neighborhoods of High Ridge, Delgado Park, Falcon Hills, and Bandolero – Tarascas. It is bounded on the west by Westwind Drive and on the south by Belvidere Street. On the north it extends roughly to Ojo De Agua Drive and Via Descanso Drive, and on the east it extends into neighboring Tom Mays Park.

The majority of this large neighborhood is residential, made up of single-family homes and apartment living, but some commercial offerings also exist here. Schools near Chaparral Park North include Escuela Montessori and Polk Elementary School, situated on either side of nearby Belvidere Street. Franklin High School is also just a short drive away, located along North Resler Drive.

One of the more significant attractions on El Paso’s north side is the El Paso Country Club, located a few miles to the southeast, along Country Club Road. This prestigious private club is known for its challenging 18-hole course, which features lush fairways and scenic views of the nearby mountains. More affluent residents of Chaparral Park North may belong to this golf club, which also offers banquet and dining options.

For outdoor recreation, residents of Chaparral Park North are just a few miles north of two community parks – Irwin J. Lambka Park and Snow Heights Park. Among the amenities offered here are several playing fields, tennis courts, and walking trails. Residents are also conveniently close to Tom Mays Park, which is popular for camping and hiking.
