Mesa Hills Neighborhood

Utterly suburban and one of the most upscale neighborhoods in north El Paso, Mesa Hills is just three miles west of the Franklin Mountains. It is a fairly hilly area with streets that zig and zag their way around the terrain. As with many neighborhoods in El Paso, the street names are themed. In Mesa Hills, it’s all about fun. Two of the main roads leading into the area are Confetti Drive and North Festival Drive. These lead to apartments and homes on Cabaret, Vaudeville, Carousel, Carnival and Mardi Gras Drive.

North Mesa Street along the northeastern edge is the commercial zone. Along this roadway, which is also part of Route 20, are restaurants such as India Palace, Mi Placi, and Marcello’s. Upscale shops such as Sheldon Jewelry, La Contessa and Jerusalem International Foods also front Route 20. Planet Fitness is at North Mesa Street and South Mesa Hills Drive.

On the far western corner of Mesa Hills off of Sunland Park Drive and Interstate 10 is the Shoppes at Solana, a popular shopping mall with a variety of stores, restaurants, and entertainment. The mall also hosts periodic events.
