Montana East Neighborhood

The Montana East neighborhood can be found on the far east side of El Paso, Texas, about 25 minutes from the heart of downtown El Paso. With Biggs Army Airfield to the north, this community is immediately bounded by Highways 62 and 180 to the north, State Highway 375 to the east, Saul Kleinfield Drive to the west, and Turner Road to the south. This neighborhood is part of the 79936 zip code. Nearby communities include Montana West, El Dorado West, and Upper Vista Real.

Montana East is primarily a residential neighborhood, made up of modest single-family homes and mobile home parks. A large strip of land remains undeveloped near the center of this neighborhood, and a few commercial offerings can also be found throughout, including a large auto-wrecking business.

The nearby highways host plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options within a short drive of this community. The Sierra Providence Eastside Hospital is located within minutes to the southeast and serves as both a convenient health care option and significant area employer. This community is also just a short drive east of the El Paso International Airport, making it potentially ideal for frequent travelers.

Students living in Montana East are within walking distance or a short drive of a number of public and private schools. The Jane A. Hambric School is located to the south in the Upper Vista Real neighborhood. Other nearby options include El Dorado High, the Bill Sybert School, and Benito Martinez Elementary.

For outdoor recreation, there are several small parks and playgrounds within a short drive of this community, and the Vista Hills Country Club is situated a few miles to the southwest.
