Mountain View North Neighborhood

Located in close proximity to two El Paso, Texas parks, the community of Mountain View North offers a view of the Franklin Mountains with a quiet-neighborhood atmosphere. Hondo Pass Avenue borders the Mountain View North community to the north, Hercules Avenue to the south, Railroad Drive to the east, and Dyer Street to the west. Getting to downtown El Paso from Mountain View North is a short 25-minute commute.

There are two city parks within the borders of the community. Nations Tobin Park, the larger of the two, is to the west along Railroad Drive, while Mountain View Park sits along Diana Drive. Both parks feature fields for outdoor sports, picnic areas, a playground, and outdoor basketball courts. Those looking for a deeper connection with nature can take the 15-minute drive to Franklin Mountain State Park, which offers hiking trails, wildlife, and campsites.

Residents who enjoy the arts can visit one of the many museums in and around downtown El Paso. The Insights El Paso Science Museum, founded in 1980, features hands-on science exhibits, including optical illusions and magnetic and electrical science centers. In addition to its permanent exhibits, the museum hosts traveling exhibits from other museums as well, such as Dinosaur Land, King Tut, and Amusement Park Science.

Residents’ children attend Stanton Elementary School, Telles Middle School, or Chapin High School. Those pursuing a college degree can attend the University of Texas at El Paso, El Paso Community College, or nearby Western Technical College.

With quick access to public and private bus routes, downtown museums and nightlife, and the El Paso International Airport, living spaces in the community of Mountain View North are in high demand.
