The college, which opened in 1969 with 900 students, now has 20,000 credit students enrolled in a wide variety of undergraduate courses, and over 8,000 continuing education students.
Travelers appreciate the fact that the El Paso International Airport is located a short distance away to the north. This commercial airport was built in 1929 and covers a vast 7,100 acres. Thanks to El Paso’s generally mild, clear weather, flights are rarely canceled.
